Born and raised in Kabul, Afghanistan, Obaid Barakzai left home at a young age to travel the world and pursue education as a vehicle for success, only to find his new home in Utah.He is fluent in seven languages and is passionate about international diplomacy and economics, multiculturalism, community leadership, service, and policy advocacy.He currently serves as the Partnership Director of Policy and Communities at Promise Partnership Utah (aka. United Way of Salt Lake).
