Chandra Sapkota was born and grew up in Bhutan. Chandra came to Utah with his wife and two children in September 2009. He served as a Board member of the Bhutanese Community in Utah for over 10 years.

Currently, he is a Board member/Life Skills Coordinator of Community Building Services/Bhutanese Community. Chandra worked as a Multicultural Aide/Interpreter for Granite School District, Education Equity for 12 years. He currently works for DDI Vantage Early Head Start Program as a Family Advocate/Child Development Associate-Home Visitor. Chandra is a recipient of the Pearl Award from DDI Vantage, Commission on Youth Award from Salt Lake County and Utah Commission on Service and Volunteerism from the State of Utah.
